We represent our clients in various situations when they find themselves in dispute with another individual, company, or governmental entity, whether as a plaintiff or defendant. We are experienced in handling many different types of cases in the state and federal trial and appellate courts.
We work closely with our clients to establish a strategy for resolving the dispute – whether through negotiation and mediation, or through a trial of the disputed issues. The attorneys and staff work to guide the client through their legal issues in a timely, cost-effective, and compassionate manner.
Contracts and Business
We help individuals and businesses resolve a wide range of contract and business related disputes, including claims involving breach of contract, covenants not to compete, fraud, and unfair and deceptive trade practices. We also handle employment matters for both employees and employers.
Land and Construction
We represent clients in land disputes, such as agreements to convey land, deeds given under alleged undue influence or insufficient mental capacity, and trespass. We handle construction and remodeling disputes, both for the owner buyer and the contractor seller.
Fiduciaries and Estates
The firm’s extensive estate planning, estate administration, and elder law practice leads us to help our clients in disputes and lawsuits involving the appointment and removal of personal representatives, breach of duty by fiduciaries such as attorneys-in-fact and personal representatives, caveats, incompetency proceedings, and the appointment of guardians.
We help our clients through difficult domestic disputes, including divorce, child support and custody, post-separation support and alimony, and equitable distribution. We also handle premarital agreements, postnuptial agreements, name changes, and adoptions.
