Why did you choose to become an attorney? Growing up in both South Africa and different parts of the United States, I developed no practical understanding of the law or how the legal system worked. I relished the idea of demystifying the practice of law.
What have you enjoyed about being an attorney? I’ve enjoyed the humbling, challenging nature of the practice, and the demands it has put on my capacities for study, research and analysis. Being an attorney has also blessed me with the luxury of meeting, working with, and advising some truly amazing people.
Why did you choose to work for Craige Brawley? It gave me the opportunity to practice sophisticated law with people I respect.
Favorite hobbies? I’m fairly certain that I used to have hobbies..and then I became a father. Now my hobbies consist mainly of trying to keep up with my children and inventing convincing answers to their many questions.
Most memorable trip? My honeymoon. It’s the only vacation I’ve taken where I was stunningly, stupidly happy for its entire duration.
Favorite Winston-Salem landmark? Old Salem. In an increasingly modern city, Old Salem remains a surprising, beautiful reminder of the city’s long history.
